We have some very exciting news to share with everyone! Green Heart Garden will be moving to a new location in Boring, OR for the 2024 season!
We know, you’re probably getting a strong sense of déjà vu right about now. Didn’t we just do this last year? Yes, we did. For the 2023 season, we had an amazing opportunity to expand to a larger location in Gaston, OR, so we bought a tiny home and moved our operation out there.
But, towards the end of the season, we were approached by Tony’s long-time friend, Bryan, who had purchased a piece of property in Boring with the intent of starting up his own no-till, ecologically friendly farm. He’d already started building the infrastructure, putting in some greenhouses and establishing a good-sized flock of hens, but needed some guidance on how to get his business off the ground.
After much discussion and a few rounds of bocce ball, we decided that the best course of action for everyone was to join forces and make Green Heart Garden even better!
Bryan has been playing in the dirt since childhood and has continued to develop his green thumb over the past 20 years. He shares our values of growing fresh, nutritious produce using regenerative growing techniques and natural pest predators. He has a wealth of knowledge and skills that will help us continue to hone our farming practices.
One of the benefits of moving to our new location is that we will now be able to offer cage-free eggs and a variety of fresh seasonal fruits! The new location comes with blackberry vines and established pear and apple trees, with room to add even more. We’re also hoping to eventually add an on-site farmstand and have space to host events so that people can come see our farm for themselves and enjoy some amazing food. We are so excited to be able to offer a greater diversity of products to our customers in the coming years!
We are thrilled about this change, and we hope you are too. We appreciate your support and loyalty, and we look forward to serving you at our new location. We will keep you updated on our progress and what kinds of produce you can expect in your CSA boxes in 2024. In the meantime, you can visit our website or follow us on social media to learn more about our new farm and our products.
