Our farm is more than just a place where vegetables, fruits, eggs, and herbs grow. It’s a testament to our commitment to sustainable agriculture. Through meticulous low-till practices, we cultivate crops without disturbing the soil’s delicate structure. By avoiding aggressive plowing or tilling, we safeguard soil health, reduce erosion, and promote water conservation. The result? A thriving ecosystem where earthworms aerate the earth, beneficial microbes flourish, and nutrient-rich soil sustains vibrant plant life. As stewards of this land, we recognize that every seed we sow contributes to a healthier planet.
Beyond soil care, our approach extends to pest management. Instead of relying on synthetic chemicals, we harness the power of nature’s allies. Ladybugs patrol our fields, feasting on aphids and other pests. Parasitic wasps, lacewings, and soil-dwelling nematodes join the ranks, maintaining a delicate balance. These natural predators keep harmful insects in check, allowing our crops to thrive without compromising the environment. Our commitment to chemical-free and regenerative methods ensures that each harvest honors the intricate dance between soil, sun, and rain—a dance that sustains us all.
We also believe that access to nutrient rich, fresh ingredients should be feasible to everyone, regardless of their income. Not only do we accept payments through SNAP, but we're also a proud participant in the Double Up Food Bucks program. If you are SNAP eligible AND nobody in your household was part of a CSA last year, then you could qualify for half the CSA cost to be paid through the Double Up Food Bucks program.
